    1-Week Academies

    College Prep Program

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition:
      • Tuition for one 3-credit course: $6,621 ($2,207* per credit)
      • Residential - College Prep Fee (covers housing & College Prep seminars): $4,218*
      • Health insurance fee (international students only): $225
      • Meal plan (optional): Determined by plan selected, purchased directly from Georgetown Dining
      • Pre-college fee**: $745

    *Estimated cost, subject to change

    **The $745 pre-college fee is used for additional campus support that the high school programs warrant due to the younger age of student participants. The pre-college fee is non-refundable two weeks or fewer before the course or program start date.

    Summer College Courses

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition for one 3-credit course: $6,621 ($2,207* per credit)
      • A typical course is 3 credits. Students may take up to two courses per session.
    • Housing (optional - Secured only by Summer Programs): $2,448* per session
    • Meal plan (optional): Determined by plan selected, purchased directly from Georgetown Dining
    • Pre-college fee**: $745
    • Health insurance fee (international students only): $225 per session
    • Books and other fees: Determined by courses taken

    Scholarship Opportunities

    Scholarship Application Opens: January 17
    Academy Student Deadline: February 25
    Summer College and College Prep Student Deadline: March 31

    A limited number of scholarship awards are available to students who demonstrate financial need. Only students who have been admitted to our summer programs (Summer College, College Prep, and Academies) are eligible to apply. Scholarship awards are strictly for tuition and do not apply to other fees. We cannot guarantee that all applicants who apply will receive a scholarship award. Awards are not automatic or guaranteed.

    Eligibility

    Scholarship applicants must have an approved Summer College, College Prep or Academy Application. If you have not applied for a Hoya Summer High School Session program, please visit our How to Apply page.

    • Our Scholarship Application Form will open in January.
      • Academy Scholarship Application
      • Summer College & College Prep Scholarship Application
    • The deadline for students applying for scholarship awards for the Noncredit Academies is February 25.
    • The deadline for students applying for scholarship awards for the College Prep and Summer College is March 31.
    • Award decisions for Academies will be made in first week of March.
    • Award decisions for credit programs will be made in first week of April.

    Any applications received after their associated deadline will only be reviewed if sufficient scholarship funds remain available. It is unlikely that sufficient funds will remain available.

    *If funds remain available you will be contacted by a member of the Scholarship committee.

    Scholarship Requirements

    1. Approved Summer College, College Prep, or Academy Application
    2. Two essay prompts:
      1. Describe a challenge you've faced. What did you learn from the experience?
      2. How would receiving a tuition scholarship and attending the Georgetown Hoya Summer: High School Sessions program impact your personal and academic goals? How would our program contribute to your journey to be the best version of yourself in your community?

    Refund Policies & Calendar

    Application fees for all programs are non-refundable.

    Other refunds are issued according to the following policies:

    Noncredit Academies Refund Policy

    Tuition is 100 percent refundable until three weeks before the start of the Academy. After that period, students will receive a percentage refund of the tuition until the start of the program, as follows:

    Up to three weeks before the course start date 100 percent of tuition plus applicable course fees
    Up to two weeks before the course start date 90 percent of tuition plus applicable course fees
    Up to one week before the course start date 85 percent of tuition plus applicable course fees
    Up to the course start date 75 percent of tuition plus applicable course fees
    Up to the third day of the course 50 percent of tuition
    On or after the fourth day of the course No refund

    Summer College Courses and College Prep Refund Policy

    Tuition is 100 percent refundable only when the student drops a course or program during the designated add/drop period in each session. After that period, students will receive a percentage refund of the tuition only, depending on when the student submits a drop request via GU Experience, as outlined in our Refund Calendar.

    Any fees associated with a course or program will not be refunded after the designated Add/Drop period.
