    Tuition & Fees

    The following sections detail the current tuition rates, fees, and refund policies for our Summer High School Programs. Tuition is subject to change.

    1-Week Academies

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition:
      • Virtual: $1,895
      • Residential (includes housing and meals): $3,115
      • Commuter: $2,345
        • Optional meal plan: $280*
          *2019 rate, subject to change for 2022
    • Health insurance fee (international students only): $35

    Refunds are issued according to the following policies.

     

    2-Week Academies

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition:
      • Residential (includes housing and meals): $5,300
      • Commuter: $3,735
        • Optional meal plan: $560*
          *2019 rate, subject to change for 2022
    • Health insurance fee (international students only): $70

    3-Week Academies

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition:
      • Residential (includes housing and meals): $6,745
      • Commuter: $5,099
        • Optional meal plan: $840*
          *2019 rate, subject to change for 2022
    • Health insurance fee (international students only): $105

    College Prep Program

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition:
      • Tuition for one, 3-credit course: $5,331 ($1,777* per credit)
      • College Prep Fee (covers housing & College Prep seminars): $3,750*
      • Health insurance fee (international students only): $175
      • Meal plan (optional): Determined by plan selected, purchased directly from Georgetown Dining
      • Pre-college fee: $745*

    *Estimated cost, subject to change

    The pre-college fee is non-refundable two weeks or fewer before the course or program start date.

    College Credit Courses

    Tuition & Fees

    • Application fee (non-refundable): $50
      • Fee is waived for all applications received by the Early Bird Deadline: January 31
    • Tuition for one, 3-credit course: $5,331 ($1,777* per credit)
    • Housing (optional): $1,500* per session
    • Meal plan (optional): Determined by plan selected, purchased directly from Georgetown Dining
    • Pre-college fee**: $745*
    • Health insurance fee (international students only): $175 per session
    • Books and other fees: Determined by courses taken

    *Estimated cost, subject to change

    **The $745 pre-college fee is used for additional campus support that the high school programs warrant due to the younger age of student participants.

    Scholarship Opportunities

    A limited number of scholarship awards are available to students who demonstrate financial need. Only students who have been admitted to our summer programs (College Credit Course or Non-Credit Academies) are eligible to apply. Scholarship awards are strictly for tuition and do not apply to other fees.

    Eligibility

    Scholarship Applicants must have an approved Credit or Non-Credit Application. If you have not applied for a Hoya Summer: High School Session program, please visit our How to Apply page.

    • Our Scholarship Application Form will OPEN in December.
    • The primary deadline for students applying for scholarship awards for the non-credit Academies is February 15.
    • The Primary Deadline for students applying for scholarship awards for the credit programs is March 15.
    • First Round of awards for Academies will be made in early March.*
    • First Round of awards for credit programs will be made in early April.*

    Applications submitted after the Primary Deadline will only be considered if there are still funds available.

    *Award decisions after the first round will be made on a rolling basis until all funds have been awarded.

    Scholarship Requirements

    • Two Essay Prompts:
      1. Explain how receiving a scholarship will help further your personal and academic goals.
      2. Describe a challenge you have overcome.
    • Reference Form (to be emailed to listed reference). The reference will need to respond by the Primary Deadline.

    Refund Policies & Calendar

    Non-Credit Academies Refund Policy

    Tuition is 100 percent refundable until three weeks before the start of the Academy. After that period, students will receive a percentage refund of the tuition until the start of the program. Instructions on how to drop Non-Credit Academy courses can be found on our FAQs page.

    College Credit Courses and College Prep Refund Policy

    Tuition is 100 percent refundable only when the student drops a course or program during the designated add/drop period in each session. After that period, students will receive a percentage refund of the tuition only, depending on when the student submits a withdrawal request via MyAccess, as outlined in our Refund Calendar.

    Any fees associated with a course or program will not be refunded after the designated add/drop period.

    Meal Plan Cancellation (Credit Students)

    Refunds are issued according to the Refund Calendar.
