Kelli Giffin, MSN, RN is the Director of the O’Neill Family Foundation Clinical Simulation Center at Georgetown University. With over 25 years of nursing experience, she brings deep clinical expertise and innovative leadership to simulation-based education. Kelli holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and has completed an INACSL Simulation Fellowship in 2017. Since 2014, she has overseen the strategic and operational direction of the simulation center, fostering experiential learning through cutting-edge technology and interprofessional collaboration.In addition to her directorial role, Kelli serves as adjunct faculty, developing and delivering simulation-based curriculum for undergraduate and pre-licensure nursing students. She has played a pivotal role in faculty development, curriculum innovation, and enhancing student critical thinking through realistic clinical scenarios.
In 2021, Kelli was recognized with the mentoring award from the Georgetown Women in Medicine (GWIM). She has also earned a Best Poster Award at the CENTILE Colloquium and a nomination for the Excellence in Clinical Simulation Pioneer Award. A committed mentor and educator, she also leads nursing programming for Georgetown’s high school summer academies and contributes to online curriculum development. Her work reflects a passion for advancing nursing education and improving patient care through simulation.
