Scholarship Opportunities

Georgetown University Summer Programs offer a limited number of need-based scholarships for eligible students admitted to Summer College, College Prep, or Academy programs. Scholarships are awarded for tuition only and are not guaranteed, as funding is limited and competitive. All applicants must first be admitted to a program and then complete the scholarship application, which opens in January and requires essay responses. Deadlines vary by program, and award decisions are released in the spring. A detailed breakdown of scholarship deadlines, requirements, and award timelines is provided in the sections that follow.

Deadlines & Eligibility

Scholarship applicants must have an approved Summer College, College Prep, or Academy Application. If you have not applied for a Hoya Summer High School Session program, please visit our How to Apply page.

Award decisions for credit programs will be made by the last week of April.

Any applications received after their associated deadline will only be reviewed if sufficient scholarship funds remain available. It is unlikely that sufficient funds will remain available.

*If funds remain available, you will be contacted by a member of the Scholarship Committee.

Scholarship Requirements

  1. Approved Summer College, College Prep, or Academy Application
  2. Two essay prompts to be determined closer to the scholarship application open date.
